    What is Share-a-File?

    Put simply, Share-a-File @ MyStudies.NET is a file hosting site that allows users to upload large files (photos, videos, music, etc.) to send to friends, family and colleagues. The site provides users with a link to their file that can easily be sent via email or instant messenger for viewing or download without having to worry about file size limitations of email and messenger applications. Share-a-File’s services are also handy for the light traveler to store his/her largest files for easy retrieval.

    What is the maximum allowed size for uploaded files?

    The maximum filesize you can upload depends on what account you have signed up for. Files with a larger filesize than the allowed maximum will be rejected.

    Can I resume broken downloads?

    Yes, but only if you own a Gold or Platinum account. These two types of accounts support download accelerators. Those programs support resuming of broken files and even segmented downloads. This means you can download the same file with many streams, resulting in a higher download speed.

    Can I delete my uploaded files?

    Sure you can! After your upload, you will get two links. The download link, which you give to everyone you want, and a delete link, which you keep for yourself. Just click on the delete link and your file will be deleted immediately.

    Which download accelerators can I use?

    You may use any of the major download accelerators; a few popular ones are: Speedget, Download Accelerator Plus, GetRight, FlashGet and GoZilla.

    I have upgraded to a Platinum account but why is my download slow?

    Please make sure you have enabled cookies on your browser. Our system recognizes Platinum account download by cookies. Also make sure you do not have software installed which blocks sending of cookies. Some firewalls for example like to do this.

    How do I sign up for an account?

    You can sign up for a Gold or Platinum account on the Sign Up page. You need to choose a username and a password that you will use to upload files to your account. We also require you to enter a valid email address when you join. We send a confirmation email to this address with instructions on how to activate your account.

    Can I sign up for more than one account?

    Free (i.e. Gold) accounts are limited to one per individual. If we catch anyone abusing this limit, we may delete all their accounts without any notice.

    How do I access my account?

    Once you have signed up and confirmed your account, you can login to it on the login page. While logged in to your account you can upload via Flash, upload via a URL, upload via FTP, browse the files you have already uploaded, and get the URLs required to download/delete the files.

    Help! I've forgotten my Username or Password.

    If you have forgotten your login details for your account, we can send a reminder to the email address you registered with us when you created your account. Just follow the instructions on the Password Help page.

    How do I upgrade to a paid account?

    If you have outgrown the features provided by our free (i.e. Gold) account, you can upgrade to a paid (i.e. Platinum) account on the Upgrade Plan page. Payments are accepted through PayPal (accepting VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover), and in most cases, your account will be upgraded automatically after your payment is received.
